5 things to love about Spring
Summer, winter, and autumn can all be your favourite season for different reasons, but there just seems to be something special about spring in our eyes.
Not convinced? Here are our 5 things to love about spring:
More sunny hours in a day
Thanks to the spring equinox, which this year takes place on 20 March, we’re able to enjoy longer days and shorter nights. There is something about an evening walk, or being able to eat your dinner outdoors that feels so good. Do you agree?
New signs of life
Winter can feel long and, at times when you’re battling the elements with your dog like we do with Jasper, grim. But the first signs of spring reward us with new colours, new starts and a new lease of life. Starting with early snowdrops, beautiful flowers start to blossom and pop up everywhere you go. The garden and the countryside becomes a riot of colour. Trees have a fresh green look and nature rewards us with many baby animals to look out for, and who doesn’t love a baby animal!
Day trips and time outdoors
Since the very first signs of spring arrived and the UK roadmap out of lockdown was announced it seems as though everyone cannot wait to spend more fun time outside. Indeed, spring calls out for dusting off your hiking shoes and setting out on the next adventure! From rediscovering nearby beauty spots to getting away for a weekend break, these trips and time spent outdoors will become amazing memories for life, and how exciting is it that with every day further into spring we go, these things get one day closer!
The best temperatures
Spring marks the end of blistering winter and the transitional period to scorching summer. In many places, spring brings mild temperatures, which tends to be the most comfortable temperatures for most people. The arrival of spring means you can finally ditch the heavy winter layers and still be comfortable.
You can open your windows
Listen to the bird song, children playing and feel the breeze. Spring weather makes it easier to get the fresh air you need. Opening your windows and allowing the breeze in serves as an important way to ventilate indoor spaces, spring brings the perfect opportunity to throw open those windows and doors and get the air moving again.
