It will come as little surprise to learn that here at Touch of Tweed we are great lovers of the British coastline 🌊
As such we firmly believe it’s important to not only enjoy our coastline but to look after it too.
As well as this, July can otherwise be known as plastic-free July.
This is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities
We are keen to help raise awareness of the plastic pollution we have on our beautiful beaches and to help tackle the problem we will be hosting our very own beach clean in collaboration with Becky Wren, coastal enthusiast and Dorset-based blogger.
Here’s how you can join:
Fresh air, community spirit, a sense of accomplishment and the chance to protect our beaches has never been so rewarding or important
When: Sunday 4th July 2021: 10:30am start for a two-hour beach clean
Where: Monmouth Beach, Dorset by the Cobb Wall
Why: To clear the beach of litter and plastics to preserve the beach
What to bring:
Refreshments and food for the picnic
Pair of gloves for litter picking
Face mask – just in case.
